Founded in 1976, the project operates residential canal boats for children and young people. Boats are available for schools, youth groups and similar organisations for educational, social and recreational purposes. The project also operates boat based social inclusion projects for children and young people from Halton and the surrounding area.

Story

Raising the Roof for

I am writing to ask for your support. You will be aware that fifteen of our young people and project volunteers have been working hard raising funds for their project; they have designed a resource centre/library for children and young people in and are planning to built this in July.

These young people have worked relentlessly at raising funds and despite the recession have achieved £10k out of the £19k target.

They have organised a sponsored jail break at the old police station in Runcorn for May 16th: Actor Phil Olivier, George Sampson (hopefully), Pete Pinnington Wire FM, myself and key supporters of our project will be arrested (very publicly) locked up and only released if they raise their bail money.

Without your help I might well be locked up for ever (good idea you might say). I have attached a sponsor form or you could simply donate on justgiving.com

Your help would be very much appreciated – every penny will be spent on supporting the life-chances of children in poverty.

Kind regards
