I completed the FLM in 6 hours 40 minutes in 2005, wasn’t able to run in 2006 due to an injured knee but did it again in 2007 in 6 hours 42 minutes ( those two minutes rankle) and over the three years I have raised over £5000 for the charity Leukaemia CARE.

Leukaemia CARE is aWorcesterbased national charity dedicated to caring for sufferers of the leukaemias, Hodgkin's and other allied blood disorders. Support includes a 24 hour CARE Line, Regional CARE Teams, involvement with Support Groups and the supply of information and booklets. They can also provide limited financial and holiday assistance. Leukaemia CARE does not offer medical advice, despite many of its Volunteers having experience of the illness.

Bad news I'm afraid. I have had a flare up of a two year old knee injury and havent been able to keep up the training. Picture included for sympathy.



So I'm very dissapointed personaly and feel I've let Leukaemia Care down. I will do the Marathon again, knee willing and hope to make it up to Leukaemia care then.
