Hi and thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
On an early morning run, we decided that a new challenge was needed for 2010, to be more arduous than that of the moonwalk completed last year.
Having entered a 35 mile run through Northamptonshire taking in some of the best sights and country houses we then decided that the the aim (apart from finishing in one piece) was to raise as much money as we can for Disney Ward in Northampton General.
This was an obvious choice given the nerws we recently had about a classmate and friend of our oldest children being diagnosed with Leukaemia. He is currenlty being treated in Disney Ward and we feel that our fundraising this year should be split between Disney and the Cancer centre in Northampton.
Many children from this area will have experienced the care given on Disney as it is a general ward as well as having the paediatric oncology specialism. NGH is also starting to fundraise for a new specialist Cancer Unit which will cover not only Northamptonshire but parts of Leicester and Bedfordshire. We feel that this is also a worthy recipient of any money raised as cancer affects so many people.
Please, please help support us in our quest to raise £1000.00. Knowing that people are supporting us in our efforts will certainly help us along our journey and the money can be used to help others suffering from cancer along theirs.
