Tearfund is a Christian charity working in 50 countries where conflict, climate disaster and injustice push millions of people into extreme poverty. We equip and enable people to take control of their own lives, so they can build the future they want for themselves and their community.

Story

We're raising money for... AIDS orphans around the world that Tearfund are working with to support.

No Slumber Challenge is... an idea by Tearfund that I'll be running with my youth group at Belmont Chapel from 23rd-24th May.  The basic idea is that everyone who takes part raises sponsor money and during the 18-or-so hours that we spend together we'll be re-creating some of the challenges for ourselves in teams that some of the poorest young people have to face in a much bigger way every day.

We hope to... gain a real insight into the needs and situations of so many young people in our world who don't have family by experiencing a little of some of the emotions they must feel and we hope to raise around £2000 that Tearfund will use to make a very real difference in their lives as they grow up.

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
