Trek the Great Wall of China 2007 · 13 October 2007 ·

Kidscan, the children's cancer research charity, is working to promote and support research into the causes, prevention, treatment and cure of cancers in children. No other charity researches into specifically children’s cancers which makes their work both unique and vital.

Story

Anyone who knows me will testify to the fact that I'm not the most adventurous of eaters, can become irritable in hot weather and tend to be quiet and reserved around total strangers. So, what better way to raise money for a good cause (and for once do something constructive with my spare time) than by signing up for the opportunity to walk along a really big wall in China in hot weather, all the while sampling local 'delicacies' and trying to make conversation with a bunch of people I don't know?!...

In doing so I'm hoping to raise as much money as I possibly can for Kidscan (they concentrate specifically on finding cures for childhood cancers).

So, if you can please dig deep and sponsor me online I'd appreciate it enormously - anything you donate goes 100% to the charity as I have covered the cost of flights, accommodation and a week's supply of McCain oven chips (and solar powered hand-held oven) myself.

Many thanks for your support.

Added note: Thanks to Abatoria Residential for the kind donation you sent to the charity for me.
