Bridge2aid - 3 Yorkshire Peaks Challenge June Weekend · 13 June 2008 to 15 June 2008 ·

We plant urban trees in parks, streets, schools and housing estates across the UK, as well as internationally, revitalising these areas and improving the lives of the people who live in them. We strengthen communities through volunteering opportunities and inspire children to grow and eat good food.

Story

This year, George Pickvance has joined the BT Devices team, as it sets out to complete the gruelling 3 Peaks Challenge in under 9 hours! (last completed in a record time of 9hrs 19mins).

We have been completing training runs and wearing in our walking boots....however, we have have no illusions about the exhaustion and the blisters...and how good a beer will taste at the settle pub after the event!

This year we have selected a fantastic charity call "Trees for Cities", who have recently been advising Boris Johnston on urban regeneration and greening for deprived and neglected boroughs of London.  Reaching our fundraising target of £500 will motivate us to keep running over the 3rd peak when the exhaustion has truly set in.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Trees for Cities gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thankyou for your support!
