Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

At Newcastle-under-Lyme School in Staffordshire, three of our young people have in recent years been diagnosed with cancer and all have received superb care and treatment at the Children's Oncology Ward at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire. In recognition of the work that is done there on a daily basis and in tribute to our three students who have faced the toughest of life's challenges, I wanted to do what I could, as the School's Headmaster, to raise funds for the ward as it prepares to move into its new home in 2012.

I decided to enter the Great North Run in September this year. Running is not something I particularly enjoy but I am training hard and hoping to manage to complete the course in what will also be for me a nostalgic trip to the North East, where I grew up.

I hope you will be able to support me in this cause.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
