My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

For a long time been i have been thinking of ways on how we could all contribute to a country which falls into perpetual decline every moment and time it seeks to resolve its inherant problems passed through generations. I came to the conclusion that we should focus on an area where I believe the problem stems from... education, its accessibility and the manner in which it is taught.

Problems of this country have since become worse to an extent which threatens the basic ammenities of those resident... food, water, shelter and medicine. In July 2010, Pakistan endured the worst floods in living history which destroyed nearly 2 million homes. It goes without saying that the grave situation the people of Pakistan face is in need of immediate action.

After having spoken to HRH The Prince of Wales who is a patron of the Pakistan Recovery Fund, I feel reassured that our endeavours to collect total sponsorship of at least £10,000 will reach those in need of urgent attention and affect change in a positive way.

This is our opportunity to do something about ultimatley changing the ever meandering path Pakistan has been walking on in the past and to ensure the long term prosperity for generations to come.

The following is an extract from PRF website which will help you understand what your sponsorship is going to do...

The Pakistan Recovery Fund seeks to support the recovery of communities in flood-affected areas by building homes, re-establishing education, reviving livelihoods and restoring human health.

Placing strong emphasis on transparency, quality control and impact measurement, the Fund will select quality delivery partners, high impact projects and tightly managed and monitored programmes in order to ensure that donations are wisely and efficiently spent.

By match funding our partner organisations, we aim to double the impact of every donation made, in the areas of Education, Health, Livelihoods and Homes.
