I'm raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support (www.macmillan.org.uk) by trekking along (and up!) the Inca Trail in May 2011. I know that sounds a long way off, but there is a lot of money to raise and a lot of training to do between now and then.

In order to participate, I need to raise a minimum of £3700. At least 65% of this money will benefit Macmillan Cancer Support, the balance being spent on the costs of my trip. 100% of any sum raised over £3700 will benefit Macmillan Cancer Support.

What I intend to do, is contribute up to £1700 myself as this is the approximate cost of the trip in terms of my flight, food, internal transport etc and that way, whatever you can contribute will directly benefit Macmillan Cancer Support.

Whilst I'm hoping this will be an experience of a lifetime for me, the main aim is to help Macmillan and it won't be luxurious in anyway (two-man tents, drop toilets, no showers......nice!)
