Odiham Phew Training Calendar
First there were two, then a phew more. Now we are 7...men good and true - Stuart, Roger, Hugo, David, Tony, Andy and Simon.
We're not sure if it was Hugo's idea to ride the 50 odd miles from London to Brighton on June 17, or whether it was Roger's. Either way, it was a very bad idea. Ditchling beacon is one of the highest points on the South Downs rising to some 886ft. It also happens to be right at the end of the ride where a mile long steep (very) climb winds all the way to the top....alright if you're Chris Hoy or Lance Armstrong but we just happen to be 7 relatively normal (debatable we know) blokes from Odiham.
And so on June 17 we will join 30,000 other cyclists in our bid to prove that we are still capable of such a feat, and to help raise money for The British Heart Foundation.
So please dig deep and donate now and think of us on the 17th!
By the way...
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. They promise never to sell your details or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you, we very much appreciate your support :)
