Story

Through a good friend Liam Smith I have been privileged to meet some amazing girls with Rett Syndrome and their families. And I've been so touched by their determination and unwavering belief that a cure for Rett Syndrome is round the corner. The more money that can be raised, the quicker the research can be carried out. It really is as simple as that.

60km is about 38 miles. It should take twelve to sixteen hours to complete.  I can just about walk 5 miles as I write this, in January. The XL T-shirt I have for the event doesn't fit me. The lager has been poured away. The Quality Street have left the building...

I can't think of a better, more deserving charity than Rett Syndrome Research Trust UK. And The Boy gets a healthier Dad at the end of the walk too. So this way, everyone wins. Toenails are a very over-rated thing anyway...
