Story

Welcome to my fundraising page!

I am taking on my first ever Ironman Triathlon in Austria on the 5th July 2009. I want to raise as much money as possible for Ian Rennie Hospice at Home. They are a local charity who really can make every penny count. They pay for nurses to help the terminally-ill preserve their dignity. An Ian Rennie nurse looked after my mum during her final days. This was so important in allowing her to pass on peacefully at home with us.

For those who don't know - Ironman is a long distance triathlon: 3.8km (2.5miles) swim, 180km (112miles) cycle and 42km (26.2miles) run - all completed consecutively with a cut-off time of 17hours.

I have never taken on a sponsorship challenge before and I hope you will think that this challenge is worthy of your donation.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Iain Rennie Hospice At Home gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thank you so much for supporting me!
