I have been asked to participate in “Cycle India” – a challenge to raise money for orphans in India. Along with other fundraisers, I will cycle over 200 miles in 4 days through Southern India. All the money raised by the cyclists will go to HEAL, a charity dedicated to providing education to children from extremely under privileged backgrounds in India. We want to remove as many children as possible from the cycle of poverty.
It’s going to be painful, and I’ve started training hard. Some of the good news stories that motivated me to do this is that children have been taken off the streets and have gone on to become Lab Assistants, School Teachers and to work in IT. Also, it will be an opportunity to help first hand at the orphanages.
