Thank u to everyone to took part in the sponsored walk this weekend. We hope everyone enjoyed the walk and picnic.
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Oliver was a cheeky, smiley little boy who went to the nursery where I work. On 11 July 2010, whilst enjoying a hot sunny day with his family at his Grandparent’s house, Oliver was involved in a swimming pool accident. He was rushed to Addenbrooke’s Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), where the team did all it could to save him. Tragically, Oliver lost his fight for life on 14 July 2010. He was two years old. We all miss him.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">My colleagues and I are raising money for Addenbrooke’s PICU in memory of Oliver. Addenbrooke's PICU is the local Paediatric Intensive Care Unit for the Hitchin area. It cares for over 500 children a year and relies heavily on donations to buy specialist equipment. Most of the children are admitted as emergencies, or transferred from other wards or hospitals. Your donation will go directly to children who need specialist help – just like Oliver did.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">For more information about how your donation will be used by the PICU please contact Trudy Harper directly 01223 274641 or email: </span></span><a href="mailto:trudy.harper@addenbrookes.nhs.uk"><span style="color: windowtext; line-height: 115%; font-size: 12pt; text-decoration: none; text-underline: none;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">trudy.harper@addenbrookes.nhs.uk</span></span></a><span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">.</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;"> </span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="line-height: 115%; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Thank you for your support.</span></span></p>
