Story

Another year and more triathlons! I've decided to increase the distance this year and make a step up to the half iron-man 70.3 otherwise known as middle distance. This is double the Olympic distance (or just over 4x the blenheim sprint i just did!), the ones i have done to date. It consists of 2,000m swim, 90k bike, and 21k run. A good time to do the olympic distance is 2.5hrs, so i figure if i do this one in under 5 hrs that would be an achievement. I'm aiming for a 30min swim, 2.5hr bike, and 1.5 hr run. If you want to check it out (or join me!) have a look here: http://www.sport.be/antwerpironman/2009/eng/ I've spent a while looking out for a good charity and spotted this one. Apart from the dodgy name (camkids?! what were they thinking??!), its a good cause. They pledge to pass on 120% (through adding the tax relief) of your money to projects for cambodian children in need, mainly street children and orphans, whilst most charities spend up to 25% on admin/salaries. I'd like to raise as much as i can so i haven't put a target. Thanks for your generosity, every little helps! Olly.
