Cash for Kids is a grant-giving charity, supporting young lives from birth to 18. Our mission is to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the North East who are affected by poverty, illness, neglect or have additional needs.

Story

The John O'Groats to Land's End cycle trip will be in aid of a UK charity, 'Cash for Kids'. The charity raises money for local children who,

'suffer abuse or neglect, are disabled and have special needs or simply need a little extra care or guidance'.

Why did we choose Cash for Kids?

After talking between ourselves it was found that we all had interests in charities aimed to benefit children, specifically those in the U.K. We wanted the money we raised to stay in our local areas, and go towards long term beneficial projects. As well as money going towards equipment for children with disabilities, the projects run by Cash for Kids increase the quality of life for disadvantaged kids in many other ways, such as helping young people with disabilities to find employment, and providing funding for sports facilities and community activities aimed at children in deprived areas of the North East.

The trip itself is approximately 1000 miles in length and we aim to do it in 7 days between 9th and 15th July this year. The time set will be extremely challenging, we wanted this to be a demanding event, so any support will be greatly appreciated. Every penny counts and we are extremely grateful for any donations. Help to make a child’s life better 

Thank you!
