Story

Springhill Hospice transformed the time Annie had left and I would like others to benefit from the same support. I didn't think there could be a more apporpriate way to raise money in her memory than travelling abroad.

I'm doing the ride on my own accord with the company of some friends, partly challenged by another to put my transport planning skills into practice! Rather than use an official organised ride, I've planned the entire trip for myself and six other friends to maximise sponsorship and heighten the challenge.

I've only been cycling for a couple of years in London and i've never done long distance so please spur me on by parting some cash to help terminally ill people enjoy their final weeks in peace and comfort. The hospice has a sensory garden, a room for family to stay over and a kitchen run by volunteers. I am of course indebted to the nursing staff who always work with a smile.

The challenge starting Tuesday 05 June 2012 is 200+ miles in just over three days. Training has started...
