NDCS is the national charity dedicated to creating a world without barriers for deaf children and young people. We represent the interests and campaign for the rights of all deaf children and young people from birth to independence. NDCS believes that the family is the most important influence on a deaf child's development. NDCS supports the deaf child through the family as well as directly supporting deaf children and young people themselves.

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

I hope to be one of the first deaf people to reach the North Pole in April 2008. I'm part of a team that will be travelling on foot between latitude 89N and the Geographic North Pole at 90N. We'll make the epic journey on foot, so that's 60 nautical miles (approximately 70 statute miles) pulling 40kg pulks across the ice and snow!

I am raising a huge £27,000 in aid of the National Deaf Children's Society for this expedition. But.....my challenges don't stop there, as I'm going to take on, not one, not two.... but three marathons and triathlon this year to help raise the money!!

I hope that you can help me in a couple of ways. First of all by digging deep and sponsoring me online and secondly, by passing this link to your friends; the more that know about this, the better.  In cases like this, a little does make a difference at the end. I will cover all expenses for the marathons - transport, accommodation etc  so that all sponsorship money will  go toward s  the NDCS. If sponsor ship is  going well then I will try to join fourth marathon after Berlin!
