British 10K London Run 2009 · 12 July 2009 ·

Project Harar provides access to treatment, rehabilitation, and reintegration services in Ethiopia for children and young people with clefts and more complex facial disfigurements. We do this because these children and young people are at risk of stunting, malnutrition, and social exclusion.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. On Sunday 12th July I will be getting up early and running the London 10K for a great cause. Please sponsor me.

I have taken on this challenge for Project Harar. This charity does amazing work in Ethiopia helping children with severe facial disfigurements get the dental and reconstructive surgery they desperately need. The patients come from some of the most isolated areas of eastern Africa, can't afford to travel the long distances and often live 'hidden' existences, shunned by their families and communities.

Project Harar helps the children reach modern hospitals and arranges for specialists to carry out the operations, giving the children the chance of a healthier and happier life for as little as £300. To see more about their impressive work, please go to www.projectharar.co.uk

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Project Harar Ethiopia gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

I am aiming to raise enough money to change the life of at least one child, so please be generous and sponsor me now.

Thank you for all the support,

Omar
