ONE MAN! ONE DRUM! 1000 MILES!
DRUMMING FROM JOHN O'GROATS TO LANDS END
My name is Dan Fowler and I work at THE MUSICIAN VENUE in Leicester and THE PADDOCKS RECORDING STUDIO in Wartnaby and I will be dralking (drumming whilst walking) from John O'Groats to Lands End over a period of 89 days commencing on the 7th of July 2007 to raise money for ProstAid.
This was the original mission statement I laid down before venturing out on the road. I have since travelled over 800 miles from John O'Groats to Cirencester, my journey has been far from easy but my drive has not ceased since I placed my first step south.
Unfortuantely it was a misplaced step that has delayed the completion of my journey by almost 6 months! I am desperate to get back onto the road and shall at last be doing so!
On the 10th of March I become a leathertramp once more traversing the last 200 miles to Lands end in hopefully under 2 weeks though I am sure my ankle will dictate my pace.
Although I am filled with joy at finally being able to complete my journey, I am also filled with sorrow as David shall not be joining me for the last Mile as I had so hoped. It has been long since he passed away, a day that I shall never forget, he will be with me in mind and not body. My love to you and those close to you.
