On Tuesday 12 January at 16.53.10 a catastrophic Earthquake with a magnitude of 7.0 devastated Haiti. Seven seconds later it was all over. To date, 70,000 bodies have been buried in mass graves and predictions are that about 200,000 people would have died as a result of the disaster. The Earthquake has caused huge devastation and The International Red Cross have estimated that about three million people will be affected by the quake.

In an attempt to raise as much money as possible for the victims of this Earthquake, we have arranged a Charity Row starting on Saturday 30th January, finishing between 6am and 12pm on Monday 1st February.

However, this is no ordinary Row. Across two Concept two rowers we will be attempting to row 1,000,000 metres

you to close your eyes and think about this:

You are 6 years old, have two brothers and sister and very happy. Now count to seven. Not only have you lost your right arm in the Earthquake but your two brothers and sister have died, your Mummy and Daddy has died, your Grannie and Grandad has died and you now know no one.
