How many red grade trails do you think you could ride in 7 days?

We reckon 29 is a good number.

To see whether we are right Ian and Jim will set out on 9th May, from Dalby Forest to attempt to ride 29 Red grade trails at different centres throughout the UK, finishing on 16th May at Coed Llandegla Forest of course.

By our calculations, that equates to 510km's of Mountain Biking and 2650km's of driving in a week.

Why you might ask - Well the answer is simple - To raise as much money as possible for the Alzheimer's Society. A charity which is close to Jim's heart, after his father lost his battle with the disease a couple of years ago aged just 58.

We have chosen to support Alzheimer's Society because......

Dementia is not a natural part of getting older, it is caused by a disease of the brain and robs people of their lives.

One in 3 people over 65 will die with dementia.

Dementia costs the UK £17 billion each year - that's £46.6million per day, yet only £11 per person with dementia is spent each year on research in the UK.

The Alzheimer's Society depends on the generosity of people like us (and you) to help it care, research and campaign for people living with dementia.
