Story
Thank you for visiting Marie Curie Cancer Care’s Only An Hour fundraising page.
The aim of the page is to reach and smash our £20,000 target through you, our supporters donating one hour of your pay to Marie Curie Cancer Care.
It costs £20 to provide a Marie Curie Nurse in a patient’s home for one hour, so why not donate your hour to help us make it possible for people to live to the very last moment – at home, rather than go into hospital.
Every minute of every day, someone is being cared for by a Marie Curie Nurse or Healthcare Assistant. Working in communities across the – from remote Scottish islands through villages and towns to our biggest cities – Marie Curie Nurses care for around half of all cancer patients who die at home, and the service is always free of charge to patients and their families.
2008 is Marie Curie Cancer Care's 60th anniversary - that's 60 years of caring for patients and their families. Make your 60 minutes count by donating one hour of your pay, and helping us raise over £20,000.
Our suggested donation is £10 for those of you who want to keep how much you're paid under wraps, and please write your company’s name alongside your own name when donating through this page.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to give money to the charity. Marie Curie Cancer Care will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support.
