Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Johnny and I were lucky enough to visit Nepal as part of our travels a few years ago.We were struck by how friendly and open everyone was, and how generous with their time, help and friendship during our stay in their country. Despite having very little material posessions, these were some of the richest people we met. Johnny trekked to  Mount Everest and was so moved by his experience that on his return to me, he proposed!!

We would now like to take the opportunity to pay back to the community that touched our hearts by supporting the work of a fine fellow Johnny met on his trek. But we need your help.

The Helmbu project works within the community Johnny visited and has raised money for building schools and bringing people together. The work it does is fabulous. Please see for yourself at http://helambuproject.org/helambu-project-uk/. It works in partnership with project hope who we are supporting on this site.

Johnny will be cycling from Land's End to John o' Groats this summer... all by his little old self.... which is ridiculously far to go without an engine. If we can use this personal challenge to support this worthwile charity, it would make a great deal of difference to many people  and go a small way to saying thank you to those who helped us when we were there.

Please sponsor John on his ride, and give him all the encouragement you can to achieve this mammoth task.

Thank you.
