A.G.S. On Your Bike Son

On Your Bike Son · 30 August 2015
Adam and Gareth this august will be taking part in a charity bike ride from London to Amsterdam. We will undertake a 247 mile trip in aid of a great charity in NRAS. (none of us ride a bike on a daily basis)
First of all the reason; Myself and Gareth have an aunt Sarah who suffers from rheumatoid arthritis. Sarah has gone through operation after operation and has a son and daughter in Megan and Jack who stand by her everyday through the pain. So myself and Gareth come up with the idea of helping in some way, and we decided if we could help in anyway possible for treatment or medication a charity fundraiser would be the best way forward. After reading what NRAS does to help we decided this would be the best charity to raise money for.
The Charity Cycle Ride; The Cycle ride will consist of three days of cycling and three more days of trying to raise further money in Amsterdam itself. Day 1: London > Harwich International Port. (90 Miles) The ferry across to Hook in Holland takes 9 hours so sleep time will be essential. Day 2: Hook > Noordwijk (36 Miles) After a very hard first day we intend to do less mileage in the second day in preparation for the final sprint on day 3. On Day 2 we will be staying in a chalet in Noordwijk. Day 3: Noordwijk > Amsterdam (37 Miles) The third day we will be heading off early to get to Amsterdam just before 4 PM where we can set up and get ready for three further days of fundraising.
We have set a donation target of £350. If we raise more it would be fantastic. I hope you have enjoyed reading about our intentions of raising money for NRAS. We want to make a difference and are cycling 247 miles to prove it.
We all know family members who suffer from arthritis, lets not stop and stare let's help. Help us make a difference today.
