Tomorrow's People is a specialist national employment charity which helps long-term unemployed people out of unemployment and welfare dependency and into jobs and self-sufficiency. Since 1984 Tomorrow's People has helped over 400,000 people on their journey back into work, 90% of the people the charity helps find a job are still there after three months and 76% are still working after a year. Tomorrow's People works with hard to reach groups directly in their communities, providing free and confidential support such as confidence and motivation building, job-search support and help with CV writing and interview techniques. Once someone finds a job, Tomorrow's People sticks with them and their employer to ensure that success is permanent. The impact of getting back to work literally transforms lives. When people who haven't been able to work find a job, it puts them and their families on a secure financial footing and enables them to move forward with their lives.

My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are Craig, Lee and Rod. We all work for Randstad in the UK and we are raising money for Tomorrow's People by taking part in an epic 14 day motorcycle ride from Luton to Marrakesh (and back).

We plan to set off from our UK headquarters in Luton on September 8th 2009 and ride to the Western Sahara, south of Marrakesh in Morroco. If that isn't enough, each day we will receive a challenge from our colleagues back in the UK to add a bit of spice to our days. Our trip journal and details of each of the challenges will be published on our website www.operation-sandstorm.co.uk The site is a work in progress and we are adding new content all the time so please keep checking back for the latest info.

Tomorrow's People is a fantastic UK based charity aimed at helping both the disadvantaged and socially excluded into the workplace. This charity doesn't provide a hand-out it provides a hand-up and they are truly grateful for any support offered.

So please dig deep and donate now.
