On Saturday 10 January 2009 David Latham and Andrew Holland set off on the adventure of a lifetime when we embark on the Plymouth to Banjul Challenge.  A 4,000 mile car journey across five countries, 2 mountain ranges and the Sahara Desert.  Final destination is Banjul in the Gambia, where the car (if it/we make it) will be handed over and auctioned for local charities.  The rally is similar to the Paris-Darkar rally where teams spend hundreds of thousands on their preparation and support teams, The difference, well this is a CHALLENGE we have a budget of £400 for the car, no support team and some might say no hope of every reaching Banjul!!!!!!
