BG Superhero Skydive · 7 July 2018

Action for Carers supports Surrey’s unpaid carers. We help people aged 5-95 who are looking after a relative or friend, with advice, information on rights and benefits, practical and emotional support, free events, wellbeing sessions, support groups, a Helpline, drop-in Hubs and much more.

Story

If you drop an ant out of a plane it will survive, that is because an ant reaches terminal velocity at about 4mph. Humans don't.

This being said I am going to jump (more likely be pushed) out of a plane on the 7th July to raise money for Surrey Young Carers (SYC).

SYC work tirelessly to support Young Carers across the county. Young carers are children or early teens that support parents, siblings, grandparents or friends that have no one else to look after them.

These children provide a variety of care from practical assistance with cooking/cleaning to personal care such as helping to wash/dress, to emotional and supervisory support.

SYC are there to support the Young Carers in a wide range of ways, from advice and guidance to providing activities and downtime, or supporting with problems at school.

The Charity work 7 days a week to take the pressure of the children and ensure that even though they are carers that they still get to enjoy their childhood.

Any money you can spare will be greatly appreciated!
