In February this year a special friend and colleague, Jane Rowlands, lost her two year battle with a brain tumour.
Brain Tumours are a "Cinderella Cancer" with very low research spending. Brain tumours cannot be prevented because their cause is unknown, and the survival of patients with brain tumours has not improved over the last 15 years compared to most other common cancers. So research is urgently needed both into the causes and the treatment of these tumours. Please help me to improve this situation.
In support of Brain Tumour UK's 10th anniversary, I'm going to jump from 10 thousand feet (that's about 2 miles!) in a tandem parachute jump. That's just the sort of mad thing that Jane would do. Weather permitting, it will be on 9th or 10th June from an airfield at Old Buckenham, Norfolk.
