Event: The Cardiff University/Cardiff Half Marathon 2016, on 2 October 2016
Our world-leading research is improving our understanding of cancer stem cells and offers the potential to transform the way we tackle disease.

Story

This October, I am running the 2016 Cardiff Half Marathon with a special someone close to my heart. My best friend was diagnosed with breast cancer this year at the age of 24. I wish more than anything I could be by her side through this but her continuous positivity inspires me every day. Finding a cure for cancer would be a dream come true. Every little bit counts.
