As the UK’s first charity of its kind, Veterans With Dogs trains and partners life-changing assistance dogs with current and former British Armed Forces personnel living with mental health difficulties, helping them lead more independent lives and rediscover hope, one wet nose at a time.

Story

North Lindsey College Vikings

We are a group of Staff, students, and ex-students, who would like to take on the Viking way challenge. Over 48 hours, we will walk the 147 miles of the Viking way, carrying 50lbs. We will be fully self-sufficient, so extra weight for food and water. The staff are ex-military, the students are wanting to join the Services, and the ex-students are serving Military members.

Veterans With Dogs trains and provides assistance dogs for current and former members of the British Armed Forces with service-related mental health conditions. Veterans With Dogs' assistance dog programme is the first of its' kind in the UK. We're helping Veterans with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and other mental health conditions, cope better with their symptoms, and enabling them to lead more independent lives.
