On 26 April I will be running my sixth London Marathon.  I am very excited about running in Team Whizz-Kidz 2015.  As someone who "enjoys" running and long distance walking (being mobile), this charity which raises money to provide individually tailored equipment enabling disabled children to be independently mobile is close to my heart.

I am also excited that as a Governor at St Peter's School, I can be part of Rachel Hutchinson's team of runners trying to demonstrate that attitude, commitment, and a passion for learning and hard work matter in life.

Every marathon I have run has included difficulties to overcome with injuries, family illness and other obstacles as well as highlights with positive training runs, preparatory races and of course the sheer elation of crossing the finishing line on the day.  I hope my preparation will once more put me in a position to achieve this goal as well as to defy age and finish as close to three hours thirty as I can.

Running for Whizz Kidz makes it even more rewarding because so many children will benefit from our fund raising.  Whizz-Kidz is the main charity for St Peter's 2014-15 in order that all the students can get involved in fund raising to support the lives of other children who are less fortunate than themselves.
