We are the world’s largest charity dedicated to saving lives through research. Our vision is to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Cancer Research UK is a registered charity in England and Wales (1089464), Scotland (SC041666), the Isle of Man (1103) and Jersey (247).

Story

On 13 September I'll be joining many thousands of runners, professional (Mo Farah) and not so professional (me) for the Great North Run.  As well as trying to keep up with Mo for a selfie, I'll be running the half-marathon from Newcastle to South Shields.

I'm running with Sage (the accountancy and payroll people) as one of their 'Business Experts'. As well as raising sponsorship for Cancer Research UK, the CEO of Sage has promised to pay an additional £2 for every minute each Sage runner completes the course faster than him.

If that isn't incentive enough, I'll also be wearing short shorts and a vest (photos will be available after the event for a small fee).

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So, please donate!
