I am a student nurse at the University of Worcester, and on one of my placements I was privileged enough to be invited to spend 8 weeks at St Michael's Hospice in Hereford. This is a local charity which provides care for approximately 1300 patients with any life limiting illness, not just for cancer patients. The hospice is a leading provider of palliative care education in Herefordshire who provide 24 hour helpline support for doctors, patients and families who need support with palliative care.

This placement left me overwhelmed with the exceptional care the staff provided to the patients and the whole family any time of day, ensuring respect and dignity throughout. As an individual I would like to show my appreciation and gratitude for all their hard work. This is a huge challenge for myself, as I have not done any running for 4 years. So please help me raise money to provide care and support needed by other families in Herefordshire. Thank you.
