I am one of thousands of Single Fathers out there that care and need to be part of their child's life. 

This year, (2015) I dedicate the run to my daughter Lily & close family and friends that continue to support me through hard times...               

Every child should grow up knowing that both their parents love them.  They have the right to feel loved, cared for and valued by their fathers.  If we cut fathers out then we deprive their children of that knowledge and emotional security in their lives.  I want Lily to grow up feeling confident and secure; knowing that she is important to me, knowing that I have made every effort to be there for her.

I’m not out to question or cause conflict over any maternal role or responsibility.  Relationships between adults fail for all sorts of reasons, but the relationship between parents and their children endures, and should continue.  Children need both of their parents.  I simply want to raise awareness and remind people that the paternal role is also important, valuable and necessary.
