I have always wanted to swim the Channel (I don't know why!) and so many people have offered encouragement and asked what Charity they can donate to that I decided to support The Prostate Project. As a smaller charity they perhaps don't have the firepower of the larger national charities. Both my Father and Father in Law suffered this illness like so many other men.

I didn't want to announce this before the event as there was a strong possibility that the weather would prevent any attempt.

However, I am delighted to say that I completed my crossing on 8th September in a time of 16hours and 25 minutes!
