The new road bike has been purchased, I could not face doing 100 miles on a tractor (Mountain Bike). Why mess around, so I have now acquired a set of clip-in shoes and accompanying pedals. I have fallen off once so far in a week training with these components which is apparently average.

I've completed a couple of 35 mile runs at an average of 17.3 mph on the weekend of 4th and 5th July. This weekend I'm looking to break the 50 mile target. Its not so much the distance but breaking the seat in, geez its pretty unforgiving.

Well I did the 50 miler as promised on 11th July - where's the Savlon!
