On October the 14th I'll join around 5,000 others to run the 13.1mile Oxford Half Marathon in and around this beautiful city. I'm doing it to collect money for The Stroke Association, in memory of my father, Mike Smith, who died in 2005 after a series of strokes - so it's a cause close to my heart.
