Oxjam Guildford is apart of Oxfam and works with others to overcome poverty.

This Year over 70 artists and bands are giving up there time and effort for free to play music at one of the most exciting festivals that Guildford has ever seen that takes place on and around the High Street from 10am -2am. Thats over 16 hours!! Everyone involved is doing this for Charity, no one is getting paid and we would really like our time and effort rewarded with a good turn out  and support from the public. This is a very exciting idea and gives something special back to the local community as we bring the High Street to life during the Oxjam Takeover.

We would really appreciate if all the time and effort going into the 2010 Guildford Oxjam could be rewarded by helping us reach our fundraising target which is £8,000.

Oxjam Guildford’s Takeover, is a exciting day street festival starting at 11 am and running until 2pm on Saturday the 23rd of October. Awareness will be driven by a busking campaigns on the 9^th and 21^st of October.

Starting off in the High Street in the morning with a Street Carnival atmosphere, in the afternoon the focus will slowly be shifting towards a crawl of the Takeover Venues in the evening.

We have 5 surrounding Venues as hosts to the Oxjam Music Festival, each one boasting its own genre of music, being played by the very best of local talented Musicians.
