Oxford Moonlight Stroll · 30 June 2007 ·

Have a Heart part of Global Charities, registered charity number 1091657 Have a Heart is the new name for Help an Oxfordshire Child. Our appeal is based within 'Heart Oxfordshire' the new name for the local radio station within Oxfordshire. Our aim is to raise money locally. With the help of our listeners, local companies and staff from the radio station, we organise fundraising events. Some of the events we like to run are treks, challenges, santas on the run, quiz nights, collections and much much more. The money we raise within Oxfordshire will stay within the County and support local people. Each year we will invite community and charity groups to apply for a share of the money we raise and then donate to our local community. So thank you for your support. You will be helping someone locally. Someone who really needs our support, someone who will be dealing with a problem, illness, abuse, disability or are someone with a disadvantage. You will make a difference, so thank you for helping to raise funds for your local community.

Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page!

The Oxfordshire Branch Committee has put forward a team of its members to take part in the Oxford Moonlight Stroll organised by Fox FM on the 30th of June 2007.

The FSB Branch Committee team will be part of  nearly a thousand supporters walking through the night in aid of the Sobell House Hospice Charity and Help An Oxfordshire Child !If each person taking part can raise an average of £100 this will be a huge boost for these two worthy causes.

To add to the funds being raised we have twisted the arm of our Branch Chairman's to give up his trademark - his long hair / pony tail. So Barry will be having his head shaved for charity!l He has set a target of at least £700 before he will agree to loose his locks - I am sure we can easily surpass this figure. We will make sure that there are plenty of photos both before and after!

Branch Committee members signed up for the stroll are: Barry Wheatley, David Bage, Sarah Williams, and Kiran Nooan.
