Thanks for visiting the fundraising page of St Bede's House.
We are trying to help and share with those suffering from poverty. We are going to do this by supporting Poverty for Poverty at Face-Faw at Ampleforth and through them supporting mainly the Face-Faw projects in aid of a rehabilitation centre for the blind at a village called Buigiri in Tanzania.

In St Bede's we tried to share in the needs of those suffering poverty by attempting to understand what it is like to suffer from poverty by:

1) Switching off the main water supply to the house for 24 hours on MONDAY 22/03/09

2) Closing the house kitchens on TUESDAY 23/03/09

3) Keeping the televisions off on WEDNESDAY 24/03/09

4) Fasting on Thursday 25/03/09
