Story
Hi everyone!
As many of you may know, I'm participating in London's first half marathon next Sunday, 5th October - YES, that's a WHOPPING 13 miles!!
In celebration of my attempt I have decided to raise money for the charity I used to work for, Prisoners Abroad, who, incidentally, bought me the very running shoes I am using on the day!
I know some of you are hard-up financially - however if you could spare a couple of quid I'd be really grateful - please don't feel that sponsoring a pound or two is too little, or that you need to contribute as much as anyone else who has contributed on the site before you!! Oh and donating through this site means the money goes straight to Prisoners Abroad, so there's no incling of a chance that I might have stolen the money!!!
Prisoners Abroad is the only UK charity providing advice, information and support to British people detained in foreign countries and to their families. The charity also provides assistance for those needing help to re-establish themselves in the UK following their release. For more information please visit www.prisonersabroad.org.uk
I was hoping to do the run in 1hr 30 but after calculating my speed last week it looks like it'll be 1hr 50....assuming I finish at all that is!!!! I'll let you all know what happens next week!
Thanks!
Garethxx
