Our son is a Royal Engineer in the British Army and we started fund-raising for H4H when he was first posted to Afghanistan in 2009 together with many other dedicated, and brave, men and women from the UK forces.
Fortunately he returned safely in March 2010 and we reached the target of £3000 for Help for Heroes (£500 for each month he was away). He is now on his second tour and we have decided to keep the page open to carry on indefinitely.
We fully appreciate that everybody has their own opinion regarding this terrible conflict, but whatever your views, as we have our own, these funds are going directly to help injured servicemen and women on their return to the UK.
