Hi,
I'm going to run a 10k race at 10,000 feet through the third highest capital city, Addis Ababa on the 23 November!
By running in this race I hope to raise a large sum of money to help Orbis achieve their goal of eliminating avoidable blindness by 2012 in the Gamo Gofa, Konso and Derashe areas of Southern Ethiopia. This translates into saving the sight of 60,000 people at immediate risk of blindness, preventing 36,000 from developing the blinding condition and curing half a million children infected with active Trachoma.
The money for the flight, hotel etc. has already been paid for so don't worry you won't be buying me a holiday!!
