Story
Well, farts. I've decided to put my body and sanity on the line for a good cause.
In September, I'll be running the Thames Path Challenge from Putney Bridge to Henley-on-Thames. All 100K of it.
I've faced few challenges in my life that might well be completely insurmountable. This is one of them. I'm already starting to train properly for it, so I'm putting this out now for some motivation and accountability. And I'm doing the Worthing Half Marathon on May 4th to work out if I can legs good.
In short: I'm moderately doomed.
However, raising money for the RNID, who provide invaluable hearing aid maintenance, information, support, and community for hearing impaired and Deaf/deaf people across the nation, is super important to me - I volunteer for the West Sussex RNID service already and see the good it does up close. And I can also see how difficult it is to run. So 100K should be a doddle in comparison.
Right?
Anyone?
Please?
A wild challenge deserves a wild target, so I'd love to raise £10,000. It's a lot, but I'm, y'know, running two and a bit marathons in day. It'd be nice if it made a real difference.
Steps will be had. Nipples will be chafed. Tears will be cried. Pants will undoubtedly be pooped. So dig deep and let's connect the insufficiently eared to the care they deserve.
