Lunging 73 miles for Adam Huson

Luke Dyer is raising money for Combat Stress
In memory of Adam Huson

73 miles of lunges · 2 September 2026

The UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, we've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, we provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.

Story

In memory of Corporal Adam Huson, formerly of 216 (Parachute) Signal Squadron, who tragically took his own life due to PTSD suffered from operations in Afghanistan. On 2nd September I’ll be attempting 73 miles of lunges (73 was Adams number on P-Company, the course you must pass to earn the maroon beret) - I’ll be stopping only for food, water & toilet breaks.

The aim is to finish on 4th or 5th September in the village of Caythorpe, Lincolnshire, on the Parachute Signals reunion weekend.

Combat Stress are the UK’s leading charity for veterans’ mental health. For over a century, they’ve helped former servicemen and women deal with trauma-related mental health problems such as anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

They’re on a mission to raise awareness that invisible injuries can be just as hard to cope with as physical ones. So when a veteran is having a tough time, they’re there to help them tackle the past and take on the future.
