Story

We, as “The Mainly Wednesday Walking Group” (Alan Forrest ,Jeff Ross, Jim Wotherspoon, Ian Peden, Paul Johnson, Rick Hedley and Brian Moore are donning our walking boots to complete the Tyne & Wear Heritage Way to raise funds for Teddies For Loving Care Masonic Charity (TLC).

This is an amazing charity which provides small teddies that are handed out to young children when they are sadly admitted to hospital. These teddies are so invaluable to the children who may be frightened or anxious at being in hospital and can bring so much comfort to them. The teddies are for the children to keep!!

The teddies are solely provided by the Masonic Charity, TLC and funds are constantly required to provide these teddies.

The Heritage Way is an 80 mile route throughout North Tyneside, Northumberland and South Tyneside and will be completed by myself and members of “The Mainly Wednesday Walking Group”. This is a group of good friends (Masonic & Non-Masonic) who like to go out walking each week, mainly on a Wednesday (hence the name!)
