Story

In loving memory of our much loved friend and colleague Angela Mclean who was sadly taken from us far too soon on 30th November, when she died suddenly and unexpectedly at work (Larch Cottage Nurseries).

We are raising funds for the North West Ambulance Service Charity (NWAS), to say thank you for the care and attention she received on that day. These funds are to be donated specifically for the Penrith and Eden Hub Ambulance staff, to allow them to access enhanced training. They all do a fantastic job without the full recognition they deserve, so hopefully this will help to ensure we continue to receive the exceptional care they provide in our local area, whilst enabling the staff to develop further skills on top of those they already have.

To raise funds we are selling a Rose called Rosa 'Angela', where £10 from each rose sold will go towards these funds. The rose is available to buy at Larch Cottage Nurseries, Melkinthorpe, Penrith either in person or via the website https://larchcottage.co.uk/

Money raised from our Open Garden Days in 2024 (May to September), will also be going towards this fund.

There will be further events during the year including an afternoon of Summer Music and a Pizza and Prosecco night (dates to be confirmed)

We would also be very grateful if you would just like to make a donation to this page in Angela's memory, as it would be fantastic to reach our target of £10,000 by the end of the year.

About the charity

The North West Ambulance Charity funds lifesaving equipment, education programmes and other projects to benefit the health, wellbeing and safety of patients, staff and the wider community outside of core NHS funding. Supporting staff, saving lives.
