Help us raise money for Ronald McDonald House to mark Benjamin's 1st Birthday!

A year ago our family found itself in a nightmare situation. We were told that immediately after Benjamin was born he was going to need lifesaving surgery within 24 hours. Not only that, it would need to take place in Manchester, over an hour away from our home.

Once the initial shock passed we started to think about the logistics of the situation. Where would we stay? How could we support each other and still look after Esme, our 4 year old daughter, when we needed to be by Benjamin's side?

That's where Ronald McDonald House came in. Located less than 50 meters from the entrance to the hospital, we had a safe, clean, comfortable place to stay while Benjamin made his recovery.

No questions asked, completely free of charge, we were allowed to stay as long as we needed.

We ended up being there for 3 months while Benjamin was in NICU (then another 3 weeks in March this year when Benjamin had another admission to the Children's Hospital).

We will be forever grateful for this amazing charity. As a thank you we would love to raise money to give back to this incredible place.

It costs £35 a night to put up a family in Ronald McDonald House. So far, we have spent just over 100 nights there so we would love to raise at least £3500 to cover the cost of our stays.
