Story

Thanks for coming !

In April 2026, I shall be running the TCS LONDON MARATHON -26.2 miles to raise money for Sarcoma UK. Sarcoma cancer is what stole my beautiful mum away from me & my family when she was just 53, I was 19.

Mum found out she had cancer the day before my 18th birthday and told me the day after. It rocked my world.

The photo below is at my 18th party.

I look into mums eyes on this photo and try and imagine how terrified she probably was, she was so brave and will forever be my hero.

Losing mum when i did really had a huge impact on my life and it's taken me nearly 20 years to be able to come to terms with it. It ate me up inside every day and then when alcohol was involved my emotions would spiral out of control. Depression kicked my ass again, again & again.

I've always wanted to do something special to raise money to fund vital research and support others who need it. This year it will be 20 years since she was taken, So this is it.

"THE LONDON MARATHON"

Me & running is like eating chocolate with gravy it can be done but it's not great.

I was born with a club foot and have very limited movement in my left ankle from surgery, a very short left calf muscle, my ankle is banjoed & constantly hurts. I had back surgery in 2013 for cauda equina syndrome which left me on walking sticks for 2 years, this caused my calf muscle shrink even more - running certainly isn't easy, and if it was, I wouldn't be asking you to part with your hard earned wonga.

now let's all giggle at my silly leg.

Me looking gangster in my bucket hat (leg in plaster for sympathy)

below are some photos of my pretty eccentric ma wearing her wigs and cold cap, also the sad day she asked me to shave her head - I did mine too,

I will never forget mum being in a coma in the hospice and my gran walking in and collapsing seeing mum almost lifeless, it has haunted me ever since.

I miss you everyday and always will.

I’m supporting Sarcoma UK, a national charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer and campaigns for better treatments. Sarcoma is a type of cancer that develops in the bone and soft tissue. It is difficult to diagnose and one of the hardest to treat. By supporting me, we can help change this. Your donation will help researchers find answers, keep our Support Line open, and raise awareness to improve treatment and standards of care.

Thank you for your support.
